Os / Fildes
Din epoca neolitica, chinezii au inceput sa utilizeze articole din oase, colti si coarne de animale. Materialul de la animale folosit in principal pt. sculptura este fildesul. Acest mestesug a progresat rapid in timpul dinastiei Song, iar in dinastiile Ming si Qing, in urma schimburilor economice si culturale cu Asia de Sud fildesul a fost introdus in China. Apoi, arta sculpturii in fildes a intrat intr-o perioada de inflorire.
